The RHS judges awarded Elizabeth and Alasdair MacGregor of Kirkcudbright in Scotland this year’s ‘Flower of the Year’ for their beautiful new anemone ‘Wild Swan’. Sadly they were thwarted from enjoying their triumph in person due to adverse weather and the Icelandic ash cloud stopping all transport south.
The anemone can be seen on the Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants stand and is stunning along side the blue geraniums and the verbascums.
They state that the plant produces profuse flowers throughout the summer from now until September. Wild Swan will be available from Spring 2012.
