The site is a long, slightly sloping garden at one end containing a quantity of mature Scot’s pine trees and a very large chestnut. Half the garden has been reclaimed from an unused patch of land. The rest in what was cleared by the developer.
A large open lawn is surrounded by mixed beds in sweeping curves that connect a semi-circular terrace immediately outside the property to a remote dining area and raised decked area. The dining are is surrounded along the back with rhododendrons and has a large table is constructed from a single piece of slate. The lawn continues down to a second decked area that curves around a large natural pond. Acers and structural plants have been planted so they reflect in the pond. The whole garden is then lit with spots into the pines to create a stunning effect at night.
